Fungal & Thickened Nails

Reduction and management of thickened, discoloured or fungal nails.

Thickened, discoloured or crumbly toenails are very common and nothing to feel embarrassed about — I see them every week.

What causes them

They can follow a knock to the nail, a fungal infection (often spreading from athlete's foot or picked up in warm, damp places like pools and changing rooms), or conditions that affect circulation. A fungal nail often looks yellow or white, thickens, and may lift or crumble at the edges.

How I help

I carefully reduce and thin the nails to make them more comfortable and easier to manage, tidy the edges, and advise on the treatments that help. Regular care every few weeks usually keeps things comfortable. Read my guide to fungal and thickened nails.

Whatever the issue, your appointment includes a full foot health check-up and treatment — I'll help with all your foot concerns, big or small, for one simple fee.
