Nail Bracing for Ingrown & Curved Toenails Coming soon
A gentle, non-surgical solution for ingrown and curved toenails — at the Hessle clinic or in the comfort of your own home across Hull and East Yorkshire.
What is nail bracing?
Nail bracing is a gentle, non-surgical way to treat ingrown and curved (involuted) toenails. A small, discreet brace is applied to the surface of the nail, creating a light, constant tension that gradually encourages the nail to grow in a flatter, more natural shape — lifting it away from the skin and easing the pain.
How it works
At your appointment I clean and prepare the nail, then fit a made-to-measure brace to its surface. It is painless to apply, with no cutting and no downtime — you can carry on with your day as normal. The brace is barely noticeable, will not affect your shoes, and you can even still paint your nails. As the nail grows, the brace is checked and, if needed, renewed until the nail is growing comfortably.
The benefits
- No surgery, no needles and no recovery time
- Gentle and virtually pain-free
- Discreet — it will not affect your footwear or activities
- Encourages the nail to grow naturally and helps stop the problem returning
- Suitable for many ages, including children
Is nail bracing right for me?
Nail bracing is ideal for mild to moderate ingrown or curved toenails, and for anyone who would rather avoid nail surgery. If you are troubled by a nail that digs in, catches in your socks or is sore at the edges, it is well worth a chat. If a nail is badly infected I will always advise the safest course of action first.
I offer nail bracing at the Hessle clinic and on home visits across Hull, Hessle, Beverley, Cottingham, Anlaby, Willerby, Kirk Ella, Brough and the wider East Yorkshire area.
