If you live with diabetes, your feet deserve a little extra attention. Diabetes can reduce the feeling in your feet and affect circulation, which means small problems — a corn, a bit of hard skin, or a nail dug in at the edge — can go unnoticed and take longer to settle.
Regular, gentle foot care is one of the simplest ways to stay comfortable and catch anything early. At your appointment I carefully tend to nails and skin, keep an eye out for any changes, and take particular care given the extra considerations diabetes brings. Please do mention any diabetes or circulation concerns when you book so I can tailor your visit.
Important: foot care with me complements, and does not replace, the checks your GP or diabetes team provide. If you ever notice a new wound, redness, swelling or a change in colour, please contact your GP or NHS podiatry service promptly.
Routine diabetic foot care is part of every appointment, at home or at the Hessle clinic. Get in touch to arrange a convenient time.
Professional, compassionate foot care at home or at the Hessle clinic across Hull & East Yorkshire.
